New Job!

Guess what, I have a new job.

That means that, at the moment, I have two jobs, but I expect that to work itself out.

I've managed to get work with another company in town that's surprisingly similar to my current employer. They're a small company that does custom web and database applications for a variety of customers. The big difference is that the new company is an all windows shop and the current is all linux.

Neither they nor I were sure how that adjustment would work, but I've been worked on a project for them last week and I think they and I are very happy with how things went.

Both jobs are project based and allow for flexible scheduling so I'll be trying to juggle that until I figure out what the long term future of my current employer is.

I'm very excited about this. I've been worrying for a while what I would do if/when work dried up at my job and this looks like as good a fit and as painless a transition as you could ask for.

It does mean that I'll be working a lot more for the next while but that's good too, I can use the money.
